We had some questions about the new CO2 detector requirements.
There is a state law that becomes effective January 1 that requires
that a working CO2 detector be installed with in 15 feet of every
sleeping room in a unit. More information will be available at the
meeting.
You also may have read that Mayor Daley has proposed new policies
to increase the supply of affordable housing in the city. The proposed
ordinance would require a set aside of affordable units for all
types of city land, any zoning change that increases project density
and all planned developemts. You will learn more about the proposal
at the EUBA meeting.
Many people are attending meetings who are not currently EUBA members.
You are always welcome. If you are not a EUBA member, we invite
you to print, fill-in, and mail our membership application or pick one up at the meeting.
Dues are $125 a year. EUBA is an organization for building owners
and managers, developers, real estate brokers and agents, bankers,
architects, contractors and those who provide them with necessary
goods and services.
